  • The number #1 in acoustic foam. PYROSORB is “Class O” accredited cellular polyurethane foam. Pyrosorb can truly be said to be Flame Retardant. The special impregnation process is the result of a high density acoustic product reaching 100 kg/m³. This density is ideal for sound absorption over both High and Low frequencies. With its flexible and non irritant characteristics PYROSORB is easy and safe to install.

Fire Redundant Foam XE440

  • A general sound absorption foams that meets a number of automotive specs is. This foam is self – Extinguishing, XE 440 will self-extinguish within “6 minutes” of the source being removed.
  • XE 440 is An open cell polyurethane foam. This foam is manufactured in one of Europe’s top PU Plants, meeting many quality specifications including the automotive FMVSS 302 on Fire Resistance and Anti Fogging. 
  • This foam is Dark Charcoal in colour making it slow in discolouring and aging
  • Density of 30kg/m3 makes it ideal for sound absorption with a high hardness factor making it easy to cut
  • Standard sheet width of 1.5m and in roll format offers customers maximum yield. We can supply in a compressed format should customer have shipping problems. Roll length will depend on thickness. We also convoluted/ profiled this into standard egg profile) thicknesses of 32mm, 50mm and 70mm (Base to Peak). This convoluting increases sound absorption co efficient by increase the area of the sound wave to be absorption
  • Applications following:
    • Sound Absorption in industrial canopies to sound studios.
    • Sealing strips as a dust seal
    • Sealing strip and cut components in automotive and OEM industry
    • Laminating of foam to fabrics

 

Grade: XE 440 FRL

Description

A flexible polyurethane foam containing a flame retardant additive to reduce ease
Of ignition and is ideally suited for sound absorption due its density of 30kg/m3. This absorption co efficient is increased tremendously when foam is convoluted.

Physical properties are measured using the relevant BS4443 Test Method for Testing of “Flexible Cellular Materials”.

Nominal piece density range: 27-32 kg/m³

Nominal hardness range: 120 – 160 Newton’s

Nominal tensile strength: 130 KPa minimum

Nominal elongation at break: 250% Min.

Hardness factor: 4.2kPa
