Acoustitiles

Genset Acoustic foam has developed and funded a new division of acoustics and treatment within the markets that shouted for our help.

In supplying acoustic foam to the studio market, Genset Acoustic Foam has researched a line of different product supplied local distributors’, unlike many acoustic material imported by locals.

There are four primary goals of acoustic treatment: 1) To prevent standing waves and acoustic interference from affecting the frequency response of recording studios and listening rooms; 2) to reduce modal ringing in small rooms and lower the reverb time in larger studios, churches, and auditoriums; 3) to absorb or diffuse sound in the room to avoid ringing and flutter echoes, and improve stereo imaging; and 4) to keep sound from leaking into or out of a room. That is, to prevent your music from disturbing the neighbors, and to keep the sound of passing trucks from getting into your microphones.

Genset Acoustic Foam together with our distributors has developed a range of acoustic profiles to suite all different application in treatment.

DESCRIPTION OF PRODUCT

Size

SmallWedge

Small wedge

600 x 600 x 50mm

Wedges effectively kill standing waves and flutter echoes and, when used in conjunction with Bass Traps can effectively tame the full frequency bandwidth in virtually any room. 2″ acoustic Studio foam is quite simply the workhorse of the industry and is your safest bet if you’re tuning your room yourself without the help of a professional acoustician.

bigwedge

Big wedge

600 x 600 x 200mm

Big Wedges achieve a prodigious level of low frequency sound control at your room boundaries, where low frequency problems begin, at a price that allows it to fit into most budgets.

bigpyramid

Big pyramid

600 x 600 x 95mm

Pyramids are recommended for larger spaces, rooms with pronounced low frequency problems or where sonic accuracy is mandatory and stronger acoustic absorption is required.

Having 4 sides exposed on each pyramid also yields more sound wave diffusion, which is desirable in some spaces. Thus, 4″ acoustic Studio foam Pyramids will yield less overall dryness than 4″ Studio foam Wedges.

smallpyramid

Small pyramid

600 x 600 x 50mm

Small Pyramid Studio Foam has a 3D pyramid pattern that not only looks cool, but improves the sound absorbing performance of a room by increasing the surface area. This product is made with professional grade acoustic foam. Small Pyramid Studio Foam enhances the listening experience and improves recording environments.

plainbeveled

Plain Beveled

600 x 600 x 70mm

Plain bevelled tiles offer good absorption in the mid to high frequency range. The panels have been specifically developed for those situations where acoustic absorption and greater visual sophistication are required, but budgetary constraints do not allow for fabric covered alternatives.

The edges are bevelled, contributing to an elegant look not normally associated with acoustic foam. The panels can be installed easily and arranged in a multitude of attractive patterns.

basetraps

Base traps

600 x 430 x 300

Bass traps substantial enough to control nodes have always been expensive to buy or intricate and time-consuming to build, but not anymore! LENRD Bass Traps are extremely effective at smoothing out low frequency room nodes at a price that anybody-and I do mean anybody-can afford!

dc2acousticblocksheets

DC 2 acoustic block sheets

2000 x 1300 x 3mm

Acoustic foam is used heavily throughout the recording industry to effectively acoustically treat a space so artist, engineers, and producers hear accurate sounds at both the performance time and later at editing and mastering. Acoustic foam panels are used to reduce slap and flutter echo as well as to increase the accuracy of low frequencies. Recording studio foam is a sound absorption product which means it stops sound from reflecting off treated surfaces thereby changing the acoustics of a space to a desired effect. There are three main areas where recording studio foam is used in the recording industry; the isolation booth or vocal booth; the live performance room and the main control room.

The Latest to be added to this range is a product called Pretty Whisper. This is a large cell extruded polyethylene making it highly efficient to absorb sound waves. The product is ridged in nature making it possible to do artwork on it using a special spray method that does not block any of the cells
